INSTALLATION AND ACCOUNTS
ZoomCuts has the following requirements:

-
macOS 14.2 (Sonoma) or later
-
Zoom Workplace v6.2.5 or later
Connect ZoomCuts to Zoom Workplace
ZoomCuts v2 operates as a plugin to Zoom Workplace. Previous versions of ZoomCuts had operated as standalone applications that bundled a Zoom Meeting client experience. With this transition to a plugin architecture, it is easier than ever to get started using Apple Shortcuts with Zoom without the complexity of managing a separate Zoom client with its own limitations, update schedules, and settings.
To sign connect ZoomCuts to Zoom Workplace:
-
Download ZoomCuts and install it in your Applications folder
-
Run Zoom Workplace and sign into the app with a Zoom account
-
Run the ZoomCuts app
-
In the top menu bar of macOS, the ZoomCuts icon will appear. Click it to open the control menu.
-
Click Sign In to launch your default browser to a Zoom login page
-
Log into the same Zoom account you used to sign into Zoom Workplace. The Zoom accounts must be the same in order for ZoomCuts to pair. If not automatically redirected, click the Open App button to deeplink back to the ZoomCuts plugin.
-
If this is the first time you are trying to log into ZoomCuts, you will be prompted to add ZoomCuts to your Zoom account. Click Allow.
-
If the above steps are successful, you will be logged into ZoomCuts and it will automatically attempt to pair to Zoom Workplace.
-
At any time, you can disconnect or reconnect to Zoom Workplace or log into a different account from the control menu in the top menu bar.
Are you a business/enterprise end-user? You may need to contact your IT department to allow ZoomCuts to be added to your Zoom account, depending on how the organization is configured. IT can add ZoomCuts to your organization here.

Using Apple Shortcuts
The Shortcuts App on macOS contains a list of all actions that you can take within the ZoomCuts plugin. Create a Shortcut and click on the ZoomCuts app filter to view this list. We recommend only having one version of ZoomCuts installed at a time to reduce clutter in the list. Additionally, if the ZoomCuts app does not appear in the applications list, reboot your Mac and try again.
