ZoomISO v3 Beta

ZoomISO v3 delivers new broadcast features for live television, enterprise production, and content creation
ZoomISO is Zoom's flagship production tool in the Emmy Award-winning Zoom for Broadcast suite, redefining remote contribution technology by leveraging Zoom's raw data and high bandwidth architecture to deliver high-quality, isolated audio and video streams of remote Zoom participants to production protocols including NDI, SDI, SRT, and Dante.
As part of the Liminal App production tool offerings, ZoomISO enables media production professionals, including television broadcasters, enterprise production teams, and content creators, to bring in remote guests from around the world at a moment's notice to be part of important live conversations.
We are now excited to announce a major evolution in Zoom's remote contribution technology: ZoomISO v3!
The new ZoomISO update brings a brand-new UI, a suite of powerful processing engine upgrades with support for Zoom's new Enhanced Media offering, and many exciting new features that will transform professional workflows that rely on Zoom for high-quality, low-latency delivery of remote guests to broadcast productions.

What's new in ZoomISO v3?
Outputs View
ZoomISO v3 has a completely redesigned interface that brings substantial workflow enhancements to the app, such as the new Grid View layout that combines output controls with in-app previews of the incoming video streams. Meters for embedded audio are also directly visible on the new Grid View along with the ability to control their audio and video and send chat messages to individual guests.

Audio Workflow Enhancements
ZoomISO v3 can route isolated audio to any multi-channel audio devices on your Mac, including the ability to send audio across multiple devices at once. Combined with audio tools like Dante Virtual Soundcard or Loopback, ZoomISO v3 can send participant audio, shared sound, live interpreters, or a variety of audio submixes to professional audio processing systems.

New Metal-based engine supporting Zoom Enhanced Media features

Alongside the best-in-class software rendering engine from ZoomISO v2, the latest update adds a new rendering mode based on Apple's Metal graphics technology that boosts performance even further by leveraging the powerful GPUs in Apple Silicon chips. The net result of these enhancements is outstanding performance on even the least expensive Mac Mini for high-throughput remote contribution systems.
Customers using Blackmagic Desktop Video devices such as DeckLink SDI output cards will see even more performance improvements thanks to direct texture sharing supported by Metal and the latest developer technologies from Blackmagic Design.
In addition, the new processing engine supports the exciting new features in the Zoom Enhanced Media Add-On including 1080p60fps participant and content sharing streams as well as high bit rate participant video streams. ZoomISO v3 can scale incoming content up to 4K60fps as well for conformance to advanced production standards.

NDI Advanced Technology & SRT Improvements
ZoomISO v3 is the first Zoom product to integrate NDI Advanced Technology, following the announcement of a new partnership between NDI and Zoom last December. ZoomISO v3 adds several features including NDI HX3 encoding and NDI NIC selection based on these new capabilities. ZoomISO v3 will also be submitted for official NDI Certification later this year as part of this partnership.
To increase flexibility across platforms using SRT, ZoomISO v3 also adds a variety of customization features in the SRT channel configuration settings. For production pipelines leveraging SRT for remote signal acquisition, these updates make ZoomISO v3 a great choice for bridging Zoom remote guests with other media streams.
Output Effects for live-editing contributor signals
ZoomISO v3 includes a customization "Output Effects" feature for each video output that allows for live adjustments like panning, scaling, and color correction. In addition, the Output Effects tool can be used to add overlays such as meeting reactions and name tags directly onto the video streams.
The Output Effects editor also displays a suite of scopes and guides to help users make adjustments. These features can help prepare a remote video feed for broadcast without requiring expensive downstream hardware to make helpful changes to each stream.

In-app Isolated recording
For media production workflows requiring quick access to the individual streams of remote Zoom guests to use for subsequent editing, ZoomISO v3 offers in-app recording capabilities without any additional software required.
ZoomISO can record hardware-accelerated codecs including H.264, HEVC, and Apple ProRes422 LT in a variety of container formats. The new recording feature supports segmented "growing files" that can be directly imported into popular editing tools like Adobe Premiere or Davinci Resolve while the recording is in-progress, with new segments appearing automatically on the editing timeline.
Any video output in ZoomISO can be set up for recording to a local disk or network drive. This new feature in ZoomISO v3 is a great way to get immediate access to recordings of remote guests without using any external tools to capture the live outputs.
